About against the grain
I started Against the Grain over 20 years ago when I started making woodworking projects for friends and family in order to pay for tools. I realized early on I had a passion for Art, Beauty, and Craftsmanship, and that I had an eye for detail. My daytime job developed my knack for Leadership, Project Management, and Collaboration. Now I leverage those skills toward leading and managing construction projects so that customers get quality finished projects that maximize space and use while still reflecting beauty - all while keeping costs down. Sometimes this is done on a high-end custom woodworking project. Other times it is done when someone just needs a hot water heater replaced. Or sometimes even when a business needs help starting up a project or launching a new location. While it might not seem like these all go together, leadership and quality work cover many disciplines. Give me a call or email if you would like more information or to see how I might be able to advance your project.
